Social Media Nuggets for Real Estate Investors

1 comment so far

Real estate investors are fast learning that Facebook, Twitter, and other social networking sites can be used to improve their businesses as a whole. Not only are these sites a good tool for marketing, they can also be used for branding and networking.

As a marketing tool, social media or social networking sites can be used to promote products. If you placed your website in your status box, you can let all your contacts know about it. For example, you can say “Hi people, check out Rehab-Real-Estate.com. Great find!” in your Facebook status box. People can then click the link and view your website or your product.

As a branding tool, real estate investors can also utilize social media sites. All you need to do is use the same photo or logo in all your social networking accounts. That way, people will be able to associate that picture or logo to your business. When they see it, they will remember you. Sites like Twitter even allow you to customize your “skin” or the background of your profile page so you can use your brand photo there as well.

As a networking tool, real estate investors should take note of the obvious: these sites are “social networking tool.” The more people you know online, the more people you can sell or market your product to. Sites like LinkedIn, for example, allow you to have an online profile and then create a group or a network.

These are some of the powers of social media that real estate investors should take advantage of today.
