The Travel + Leisure’s America’s Favorite Cities Survey is out again and who topped this year’s edition? Before we reveal what city is most romantic for Americans, let’s have a little a lesson on REI marketing.

Marketing for real estate investing is a bit tricky because you never actually know what types of campaigns would work for your business. The best thing to do is to test these campaigns. Once you find out what campaign works best for you, concentrate on that one and improve it, perfect it. If it’s snail mail, then sell you rehabbing or wholesaling houses business through it. If it’s squeeze pages, then do squeeze pages.

As for surveys like America’s most romantic cities, what do you do with them? Can you actually use them for marketing? Remember investor that when you’re selling a property to an out-of-state buyer, you’re selling the location as well. Any good news about that location will help you convince the buyer to purchase a property in that area, and hopefully he buys yours.

For instance, if you’re selling a home in Charleston, South Carolina, you can mention that it is No. 2 most romantic city in the U.S., just behind Honolulu.
