Some Obama Update and Flipping a House
No comments yetI wanted to discuss some tips flipping a house today but my attention was again caught by a headline.
It seems we get “pinged” whenever we’re online. This and that are always competing for our attention. We go to Facebook when we’re supposed to be updating a blog. We go to Twitter when we’re supposed to be emailing some people. And in this case, supposed to be discussing flip homes tips but attracted by a headline on President Obama’s Home Affordable Modification Program, better known as HAMP.
News said nearly half of the 1.3 million homeowners who enrolled in mortgage-relief program have dropped out. My Oh my. That’s simply a huge number. A Moody’s analyst even said that the program’s current structure is “petering out.”
Not that my opinion matters at all. I’m simply in my hometown flipping a house every now and then. But this news must alarm the administration. If that’s in Internet marketing, that would be a negative conversion. But now, back to flip homes tips.
One tip I remember a good friend saying is about cracks on the driveway. He, who is also an agent, said that small cracks on concrete driveways can actually drive away buyers. So, when you flip a house, be sure to check the driveway for cracks, small or large. The lesson perhaps is small problems represent bigger problem for home buyers so as rehabbers, we should always be on the lookout for these. Hope that flip homes tip helps.
But I still can’t get over the 50% dropout rate of HAMP.
