Tools You Should Own When You Rehab Houses
No comments yetAn online article discussed tools that homeowners should own as well. Some 20 items were included in the list. I figured though that they are tools that real estate rehabbers should own as well. In a way, if you rehab houses, you must have these tools.
So, I’ll be listing some of those tools here. Let’s make it shorter. Not that you need fewer tools than homeowners, it’s just that I’ve decided to really focus on those you can carry around in a toolbox. If in case you don’t actually do the repairs on your own and rely on contractors, then consider them your tools as a homeowner.
One is the multibit screwdriver. I remember reading on a men’s magazine something about this. A woman was asked what’s the difference between a flat and a Philips screwdriver. She answered: Flat is boring Philips is exciting? But in any case, it wouldn’t matter if you had a multibit screwdriver when you rehab homes. You can change the tip based on the need. Pretty convenient.
Another indispensable tool by real estate rehabbers is a pair of needle nose pliers. Use them for electric and electronic tasks, tighten or loosen bolts, and so much more. They are handy and they simply fit even in your pocket. They are also very convenient when you rehab houses.
Finally, the measuring tape. Use it before buying appliances to make sure they fit in the space. You’ll be doing a lot of measuring and this will be your tool for the trade.
